1. Who we are

IPMIcompare is a trading name of Cogotec Ltd, registered in Hong Kong (company number 3185512), registered office Rooms 1703–1704, 17/F, Tung Chiu Commercial Centre, Hong Kong. We are an insurance intermediary and the data controller for personal data collected through ipmicompare.com. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration ZB829579. You can reach us at service@cogotec.com.

2. The data we collect

• Information you give Nomi: your name, contact details (email, phone/WhatsApp), country of residence, nationality, age or date of birth, the people to be insured, your coverage preferences and budget, and any insurance or health information you choose to share to get a quote.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and usage data collected via cookies (see our Cookie Policy).

3. Health and special category data

Some details you share (for example health information) are "special category" data. We process it only to provide the quotes and arrange the cover you ask for, on the basis of your explicit consent and to take steps to enter into an insurance arrangement at your request.

4. How we use your data, and our lawful bases

• To run quotes and compare the market for you — to take steps prior to a contract, and with your consent.
• To pass your enquiry to insurers and regulated brokers so the cover you request can be arranged.
• To contact you about your quote by email or WhatsApp — with your consent and our legitimate interest in following up enquiries.
• To operate, secure and improve our service — our legitimate interests.
• To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

5. Our AI assistant (Nomi)

Quotes are generated through our AI assistant, Nomi. Your conversation is processed to understand your needs and return suitable plans. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your personal data to train public third-party AI models.

6. Who we share your data with

• Insurers and regulated brokers, to provide quotes and arrange the cover you request.
• Service providers (such as hosting, communications and analytics) acting on our instructions.
• Authorities or regulators where we are required to by law.

We never sell your personal data.

7. International transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where it is, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect it.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations, after which we delete or anonymise it.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email service@cogotec.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
